A Busy 2025 At Love Pop Choir ❤️

Well, 2025 has been another fabulous and incredibly busy year at Love Pop Choir. From unforgettable performances to national awards and the launch of a brand new choir, it’s been a year filled with music, singing, friendship and so many fun moments.

An amazing 41 performances across Yorkshire this year!

This year, Love Pop Choir performed at an astonishing 41 events across our seven Yorkshire ladies choirs. These included charity events, community celebrations and large scale multi choir performances, helping to raise thousands of pounds for charity along the way, whilst bringing people together through the pure joy of music and singing. Christmas was especially busy with 17 performances during the festive season alone, a true testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of our singers and Choir Directors.

Performance Highlights from 2025

We were lucky to experience so many standout moments including: 

• Bradford City of Culture 2025 events, RISE and BLOOM
• The Annual Choir Festival in Harrogate
• Filming the Sing 4 Stroke advertising campaign raising awareness and funds for stroke support and featuring Count On Me, specially arranged by Lauren’s son, Max (aged 15)
• Our hilarious Queen workshops
• Stunning performances at Ripon Cathedral and Fountains Abbey 
• The unforgettable Harrogate Band concert 

Each event showcased the talent, heart and community spirit that Love Pop Choir is so well known for.

National Awards and Recognition 

Our multi award winning community choir continues to grow in popularity and we were thrilled to receive three national awards this summer: 

🥇 Best Ladies Singing Group 2025 

🥇 Community Excellence Award 2025

🥇 Visionary Leadership Award 2025 celebrating UK based leaders making a difference through purpose and impact. - awarded to our very own Love Pop Choir founder and Choir Director, Lauren Elliott. 

These honours were awarded by the UK Enterprise Awards, hosted by SME News, celebrating outstanding organisations across the UK.

Six Awards and Counting

These latest awards bring Love Pop Choir’s total to six  prestigious awards, including: 

⭐ Best of the Best Community Choir of the Year 2023/24 

⭐ Community Choir of the Year - Yorkshire Prestige Awards 2023/24 and 2024/25

What makes these awards extra special is that Love Pop Choir does not enter or nominate itself. Winners are chosen by an independent panel of industry experts who review social media, videos, reviews and community impact. A massive thank you to everyone for your wonderful enthusiasm and for making Love Pop Choir the amazing, happy place it is.

Launch of Love Pop Choir Otley

In September 2025, we proudly launched Love Pop Choir Otley, our newest ladies choir led by the incredibly talented Katie, who also leads our Ilkley choir. The Otley choir enjoyed their first performance at the Otley Victorian Fayre this Christmas, singing alongside Love Pop Choir Ilkley and were totally fabulous. A huge welcome to all our new singers, we’re delighted to welcome you all to the Love Pop Choir family. ❤️

Seven Yorkshire Ladies Choirs

Love Pop Choir now has seven Yorkshire based ladies choirs, located in: 

• Ilkley
• Saltaire
• Cookridge
• Otley
• Farsley
• Boroughbridge
• Harrogate

A Heartfelt Thank You 

We are truly grateful to have such a brilliant team of Choir Directors at Love Pop Choir. Joanne, Katie, Shane and I absolutely love leading our choirs each week and it’s always a pleasure sharing singing, music and plenty of laughs along the way. I’m so grateful to work with such a fabulously talented bunch, thank you all. 🎶

A special thank you also goes to our wonderful volunteers whose support behind the scenes keeps everything running smoothly. We truly couldn’t do this without you. ✨

But of course, Love Pop Choir wouldn’t exist without you, our fabulous ladies. Thank you for turning up each week, getting stuck into learning the songs, joining us at performances and supporting our charity work. Your energy and commitment make Love Pop Choir what it is and we’re so glad to have you with us. You are the heart of Love Pop Choir and I am endlessly grateful to each and every one of you. 

Thank you for being part of our choir family, you are truly amazing. ❤️

Looking Ahead to 2026 

We return to singing in the week commencing 5th January 2026 and we can’t wait to start another exciting term together with lots of new songs to enjoy.

Straight From The Heart - Your Thoughts

My absolute favourite part of running our choir is reading the supportive, heartfelt messages you send us. I honestly can’t tell you how much they mean to us. 

If you ever need a little lift or a boost over the Christmas break, there’s nothing quite as heart warming as reading those messages and shared thoughts. We have literally hundreds of them, all written in your own words and they never fail to make us smile. You can find a selection on our website in our Straight From The Heart blog.
